A Primary School in Penrith, Cumbria - Extention to form staff & admin facilities

Cowan & Co have been involved with the design and management of a project at a Primary School near Penrith.

The works involved enhancement of the school facilities including provision of a secure entrance, administration and head teachers offices, enlarged staff facilities, pupil resource area and group rooms together with upgrading of toilet facilities.

 

 

A Primary School in Blackpool - New assembly hall

Works have now been successfully completed on the new school hall at a Primary School in Blackpool. The full height curtain walling within the assembly hall offers picturesque views across the Fylde countryside. The seperate entrance to the new assembly hall building enables the facility to be accessed by the community for sports clubs and meetings outside of school hours.

 

 

A School in Kendal, Cumbria - Classroom extention

Cowan & Co have recently completed a project at a Primary School involving a new classroom and staffroom.

The design of the playground elevation includes a large window making use of the natural daylight whilst doubling up as a seating area for staff and pupils.

 

 

 

A College on the Flyde Coast - Window Replacement Scheme

We have recently completed phase II of an external refurbishment project at a college. This involved the replacement of windows across three elevations and the application of a long term paint system.

General repairs and remedial works have also been carried out as part of the project. We are hoping that phase III of the external refurbishment works will continue in the new financial year.

 

 

 

A School in Penrith, Cumbria - New Assembly Hall

Cowan & Co are pleased to announce the completion of the new assembly hall at a school in Penrith, Cumbria. Cowan & Co have been involved with the design and management of the project which formed phase II of the schools development plan.

The project involved the adaptations of the existing accommodation to relocate the kitchen into the infants building and to remodel the existing accommodation to form enlarged assembly hall and associated mechanical and electrical works.

 

 

 

A High School in Lancaster - New Sixth Form Centre

The governors of the School commissioned Cowan & Co to undertake, design and project manage a £3million sixth form centre to include lecture theatre, I.T Facilities, Classrooms and study centre, complete with kitchen and refectory facilities.

Cowan & Co were involved with intense negotiations with the planning authorities to secure approvals for the project and had to work to obtain capital funding for the scheme.The project was officially opened by the Archbishop of York.
